- Camping area features: Large, open grassy area adjacent to Emu Creek. Dogs permitted overnight. Horses should be tethered away from the camping area and watered downstream (or water carried to them).Location: 14km into Benarkin State Forest via Forest Drive, adjacent to Emu Creek.
Access: Accessible by conventional vehicles (with care) via gravel road with some steep, narrow and winding sections. Watch for logging trucks. It is accessible for trailers, caravans, motorhomes and buses with care.
Number of sites: Open area without separately defined sites for up to 60 people.
Camp sites are suitable for: Tent camping beside your car; walk-in camping; caravans; camper trailers; motorhomes; large groups.
Camp site surface: Grass.
Facilities: Flushing toilets, tap water (treat before drinking).
Open fires: Fuel stoves are recommended. Wood fires are allowed in the constructed fireplaces provided (except when fire bans apply).
Generators: Not allowed.
Essentials to bring: Drinking water, rubbish bags, insect repellent, fuel or gas stove. Bring your own firewood if you want to use the fireplaces.
