South Burnett Regional Council is pleased to announce that the Australia Day Awards for 2025 will be held on Saturday 25 January 2025 from 3:00pm to 5.00pm at the Blackbutt Hall.

The ceremony will welcome Rod Morgan as master of ceremonies and an afternoon tea will be provided following the ceremony.

Mayor Kathy Duff congratulates all nominees and acknowledges their commitment to the community.

“Each nominee for an Australia Day Award has showcased outstanding community involvement and the resilience that defines our rural community. These awards offer the chance to acknowledge and celebrate outstanding individuals and groups dedicated to making a lasting difference in our region” said Mayor Duff.

The Australia Day Awards are held on Saturday to allow all nominees and attendees the chance to participate in the many Australia Day events across the South Burnett region that will be held on Australia Day, Sunday 26 January 2025. Council will hold a citizenship ceremony on Australia Day at the Kingaroy Scout Den.
