23 November 2024
On Saturday, 23 November, the Blackbutt Memorial Hall will host a remarkable evening celebrating local heritage and creativity. The event will feature the launch of "Sawdust in Our Veins", a compelling documentary by Joel Thomas that delves into the timber history of Benarkin, Blackbutt, and Taromeo. Adding to the occasion is the official unveiling of the Janet Skinner Art Collection. The evening begins at 6:00 pm for a 6:30 pm start and promises a lively atmosphere with food, entertainment, an auction, and a bar—all for just $10 per person. Tickets will also be available at the door. To attend, RSVP by Friday, 16 November, by contacting the Roy Emerson Museum between 10 am and 3 pm at 0493 761 985 or via email at [email protected]. This event is proudly supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund, in partnership with the Queensland Government and South Burnett Regional Council, to foster arts and culture in regional Queensland.
