Kingaroy's Big Peanut
A community-led project, the Big Peanut was crowd-funded with every donor who contributed $30 or more receiving a plaque with their name on the completed statue. The intricate metal design will feature old pieces of local farming machinery.
Emu named Charlotte
One of Wondai’s most famous feathered residents was a beloved emu named Charlotte. Known by a number of names including Eric, Emmy and Moo, Charlotte became a local icon, strolling through town on a regular basis. Unfortunately, Charlotte was injured in a car accident in 2014 and had to be put down as a result of her injuries. But the big beautiful bird’s legacy still lives on through her statue in Coronation Park on Mackenzie Street. Back to top
The Booie Pair of Nuts
A cracking pair of chainsaw carved peanuts you can meet for yourself on Booie Crawford Rd. The friendly, nutty duo were commissioned by the Crumpton family, the fourth generation peanut producers behind the industry leading peanut processing plant just down the road in Crawford. Back to top
Yarramen
The region’s rich timber origins are carefully displayed with seven large carved heads dotted around town. Yarramen’ all with their own unique decorative designs. Nanango Bull
A life-size steel statue of a bull built with more than 2.5km of barbed wire . Created by local artist David White. Located at the Nanango Showgrounds. Back to top
Roy Emerson Statue
The Roy Emerson statue is situated on Bowman Road, adjacent to the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and contains many photos and stories about Emerson situated at the Nukku Nook precinct. Back to top

Wondai's Dingos
The statues of the two dingoes were originally created by South Burnett sculptor Kurt Keung and can be found in the picturesque country town of Wodai . Back to top
Hannibal's Bucket
Nicknamed Hannibal’s Bucket, the old dragline bucket was used in the nearby Meandu coal mine. Hannibal’s Bucket is believed to be the first on the Meandu dragline and moved enough material to fill 800,000 backyard swimming pools over its 10-year working life. Back to top

Local Artist Will Nelson brought the town’s history to life in a series of 22 wall murals. Do a track through town to find them all.
Horse Sculpture Yarraman
The name Yarraman means horse in the Port Jackson Pidgin English spread by Aboriginal stockmen in eastern Australia. It derives from word ‘yira’ or ‘yera’ meaning large teeth. The township had paid homage to this with an impressive horse sculpture rearing on his hind legs just up the hill from the Police Station on the main street through town. Back to top

Nanango
Nanango Mural Walk
Local Artist Will Nelson brought the town’s history to life in a series of 23 murals that tell the story of Nanango’s timber cutting and gold mining heritage to coal mining future and the people who made it all happen in an iconic Australiana art style. Some of the residents in Nelson’s murals The murals have all been recently restored with a brand new addition painted at the Showgrounds depicting a fun rock and roll scene to celebrate the beloved annual Waterhole Rocks swing dancing event.
